WWE Star Switches Brands From Raw To SmackDown

In a backstage segment on WWE SmackDown, a major WWE star was shown approaching Triple H backstage and said, “I quit!”

With Triple H shown as having an office suite backstage at SmackDown, Rey Mysterio approached the Head of Creative to have a chat.

After describing the pain of the current situation with his son Dominik, Rey said that he couldn’t take it anymore.

He told Triple H, I quit!

After the revelation, Triple H showed off some acting chops, telling Rey Mysterio to come into his office to talk about it, to give him five minutes to figure it out to end the scene.

By the main event of SmackDown, all would be revealed as Rey Mysterio replaced Karrion Kross in the main event. 

Karrion Kross was scheduled to compete against Sheamus, Ricochet and Solo Sikoa to determine the number one contender to GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Championship.

After tonight’s SmackDown kicked off with pandemonium in the parking lot, Kross was out and Mysterio was in.

Michael Cole announced on commentary that Rey Mysterio had officially switched brands and returned back to the blue brand which was integral to his career.

The result of the four way match between Mysterio, Ricochet, Sikoa and Sheamus remains pending at time of writing but will be updated when known.
