One trend over the last decade or so WWE has started is sending customized to sports teams who win their league’s championship. After the Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, WWE will always send a belt to the winners.
Now, Triple H has said that holding up a WWE belt when you win has become the new “I’m going to Disneyland” trope. Here is his quote from The Wrap:
“[A WWE belt], it’s another thing you expect to get when you become ‘It,’ when you become the champion. Rocking one over your shoulder after winning the big game is the new ‘I’m going to Disneyland.’”
Last night the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV, led by quarterback Tom Brady. The team also featured former 24/7 Champion Rob Gronkowski who returned to the NFL after a brief stint in WWE last year.
