Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville has been MIA since October 2017 after he walked out of Raw over frustration with his role in the company. Despite repeated attempts by WWE to mend fences with the Newcastle-born star, the two sides have never reached an agreement.
The subject of Neville’s WWE status has remained a hot subject since, with no public comment from the star himself over his current status and his future.
Triple H was asked about the Geordie during his recent conference call to promote NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, which takes place this coming Saturday. When a caller asked about Neville’s current status, the WWE COO responded:
“To be honest, I’m not 100% positive. I would need to go back and look into that.”
Following up, Triple H agreed with the assessment that Neville would be a perfect fit for his latest pet project, NXT UK:
“You are 100% right, he is one of the most talented guys in the world. I love the time that he spent with us in NXT, he did a great job of building up the Cruiserweight division on 205. Time will see where that ends up.”
So it seems clear that Triple H is keen to let bygones be bygones and work with Neville in some capacity again. The question is, will the Brit change his tune and return to the company?
