Report: Triple H Wants Smaller WrestleMania Card, Talent Unhappy Not Being On The Show WWE

A new report has revealed that Triple H wants a smaller WrestleMania card this year.

On April 1 and 2, WWE will present WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Several matches have been announced for the event, such as Cody Rhodes challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

However, much of the card has yet to be set with several big names not having a confirmed bout on the show.

According to Wrestlingnews.co, Triple H wants a small card for this year’s show, which means a lot of names that have been working on TV and live events will be hanging out backstage at Mania.

In previous years, the company has made an effort to include as many wrestlers on the card as possible and a battle royal would even be added to the card to at least give the undercard a chance to be featured on the show.

The report notes that there will not be a battle royal planned and only “a small handful of talent” are being used for this year’s WrestleMania.

Several talent are said to be unhappy about some of the slots on the card being used by legends and celebrities, such as John Cena and Logan Paul.

Obviously, things could change but those that Wrestling News spoke to were not happy about not being involved with the Showcase of Immortals in Los Angeles this April.

We will have further updates and news in regards to the WrestleMania 39 card when they become available.
