Triple H has addressed a championship changing hands ahead of the upcoming WWE Worlds Collide AAA crossover event.
With El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Chad Gable set to headline the June 7 event featuring WWE and AAA stars, Vikingo has picked up some new hardware ahead of this bout.
Vikingo defeated Alberto El Patron on May 31 to win the AAA Mega Championship, and Triple H has now reacted to this title change.
The WWE CCO took to Twitter to share a video showing Vikingo’s title win, as well as a backstage clip during which Vikingo emotionally reacted to winning AAA’s top title.
Commenting on the championship changing hands, Triple H wrote:
Congratulations to @vikingo_aaa!
The stakes just got higher for #WorldsCollide this Saturday… @luchalibreaaa
This match result was spoiled by WWE ahead of time, with a graphic for El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Chad Gable on the May 26 Raw episode billing this bout as an AAA Mega Championship match.
The real reason WWE chose to spoil Vikingo winning the title has now been revealed, which you can read more about right here.
