Triple H has revealed a top priority for the WWE creative process beyond just wanting it to be great and resonate with the audience.
Having been named Chief Content Officer in July 2022, Triple H’s tenure has seen the WWE move from traditional television to Netflix.
Speaking on the High Performance podcast, the WWE Chief Content Officer has now revealed what he considers a top priority for the creative process.
While Triple H is aware of the need for creative to resonate, he has said he wants the process itself to be fun, explaining:
“I think if I was to pick one thing, you can say the standard stuff, I want the creative to be great, I want it to resonate across pop culture, all those things, but I want it to be fun.
“I want it to be fun for fans watching and have them be entertained and give them all the emotional rides that we do, but especially for the people creating it, I want it to be a fun process.
“The creative process for people should be fun, they should have fun doing it. No one ever goes, ‘you’re going to go in the other room right now and write some good entertaining stuff, do it, go!’ That’s not part of the process.
“You have to sit in a room with other creative people and collaborate and have fun doing it, and laugh and tell jokes and have a good time, and then you come up with really good stuff.
“To pick one thing that was sort of the mission, it’s to allow our people who are creative to be having fun while they’re doing creative.”

Previously speaking about Netflix’s involvement in the creative process, Triple H revealed that the streaming platform doesn’t contribute on that level.
