Triple H Congratulates New WWE Champions After Raw Title Change

Triple H Congratulates New WWE Champions After Raw Title Change WWE

Triple H has shared his congratulations to new WWE champions after a title change on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw (July 17).

Triple H shared a signature ‘Triple H point pose’ photo with new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.

He tweeted:

“Ready to make this moment their own.

“Congratulations to your new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions @SonyaDevilleWWE
& @ImChelseaGreen #WWERaw”

Sonya Deville also shared the instant classic photo, writing:

“8 years. 8 years we have been waiting for this photo.

“@ImChelseaGreen Thank you @TripleH

“🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 AND NEW”

Elsewhere, Natalya also tweeted her congratulations, as did former WWE stars Mandy Rose, Jessica McKay, Cassie Lee and Deonna Purrazzo.

Also congratulating the new champs, someone who arguably helped pave the way for the win: Rhea Ripley.

A backstage altercation between Ripley and the team of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez occurred before the match, leading to the medical staff encouraging Raquel to not compete in the match.

Instead, she did, and her injury caused by Ripley is what cost the champions.

Ripley shared the sentiment:

“HAHAHAHA!!! #AndNEW 😈”

Ultimately the pair of Morgan and Rodriguez would lose to Chelsea and Sonya but the night didn’t end without a little bit of payback.

In the night’s main event, Liv Morgan ran out to prevent Rhea Ripley from continuing to interfere in the men’s Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match with champs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defending against Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio.

Unlike the Women’s Tag Team Championship, the men’s title did not change hands tonight as Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens retained.

The plan for SummerSlam is Rhea Ripley defending her WWE Women’s World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez, and the fact that Ripley is the one who caused Rodriguez’s injury in the first place will play into that match being made.
