Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has commented on a WWE star becoming the inaugural holder of a brand new championship today.
The tournament to crown the inaugural WWE Speed Women’s Champion kicked off several weeks ago, with eight WWE women’s stars fighting it out to become the first-ever WWE Speed Women’s Champion.
The final of the tournament, which saw Candice LeRae face IYO SKY, took place on Friday, with Candice picking up her first-ever victory over IYO to become the inaugural champion.
The match aired on today’s episode of WWE Speed, and Triple H has now commented on Candice becoming the inaugural WWE Speed Women’s Champion.
Taking to Twitter, he shared a photo with Candice backstage after her win, along with the caption:
Never underestimate a Superstar as talented, determined and hungry as @CandiceLeRae. Huge congrats to your first-ever #WWESpeed Women’s Champion on a history-making victory.
The current men’s WWE Speed Champion, Andrade, is in the midst of an ongoing series with Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown, with the pair currently 3-3 against each other.
