Triple H Addresses WWE Title Change On SmackDown WWE

Triple H has addressed the WWE Tag Team Championship changing hands on the March 14 edition of SmackDown.

With the blue brand’s tag division heating up, champions Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of DIY put their gold on the line against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits.

Ford and Dawkins were ultimately victorious, defeating Gargano and Ciampa after almost 12 minutes of action to win their first championship in four years.

Triple H has now taken to Twitter to comment on this title change, sharing a photo alongside the new champions.

Congratulating Ford and Dawkins, the WWE CCO wrote:

New look. New attitude. New titles.

Congrats to the new champs @MontezFordWWE & @AngeloDawkins.

This title win marks the first time the Street Profits have won gold since the duo became Raw Tag Team Champions in March 2020.

The duo notably traded gold with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day in October 2020 to ensure the Raw and SmackDown titles remained on the correct WWE brands following the Street Profits moving to SmackDown and The New Day to Raw.

Ford and Dawkins ultimately dropped the SmackDown Tag Team Championship to Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode on the January 8, 2021 WWE SmackDown episode.
