WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has addressed a title change which took place on the April 25 edition of SmackDown.
Friday’s show saw Chelsea Green put her Women’s US Championship on the line against Zelina Vega.
Vega was ultimately victorious, pinning Green with a Code Red to win her first singles championship in WWE.
Triple H has now taken to Twitter to share a photo and video of himself with the new champion, which you can view below.
Commenting on Zelina Vega’s WWE Women’s US Championship victory, Triple H wrote:
Perseverance and hard work will always rise to the top…
Congratulations @ZelinaVegaWWE on your first-ever WWE singles championship.
Vega is just the second ever WWE Women’s US Champion, with Chelsea Green becoming the inaugural champion following a win over Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024.
The night only improved for Zelina Vega’s household, with her husband Aleister Black making his WWE return shortly after her title win.
Zelina Vega has now commented on Aleister Black’s WWE return, which you can read more about right here.
