Triple Threat Ladder Match Challenge Issued For WWE Clash of Champions

WWE SmackDown had quite a few announcements made during the show. WWE announced a huge match for Raw and a big title match for Clash of Champions.

With all the championships on the line, we were just waiting on an announcement regarding The Intercontinental Championship. During the show, Jeff Hardy laid down a challenge to AJ Styles and Sami Zayn.

After attacking both men, Hardy set up a ladder and challenged them to a Triple Threat Ladder match. Sami Zayn and AJ Styles had just finished a match when Jeff Hardy ran down and attacked both men.

AJ and Sami had a competitive match. Well, mostly, they competed over who was better at cheating.

AJ Styles turned out to be the better rule breaker. Sami Zayn was caught grabbing the tights during the pin. While he was arguing with the referee, AJ Styles rolled him up for the win.

All three men believe they are the rightful IC Champion. Hardy beat Styles for it. However, Styles claims he only lost because Hardy had a weaponized knee brace.

On the other hand, Sami Zayn never actually lost the title. He was stripped of the title when he was unable to appear due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Already announced for the card:

  • Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso – WWE Universal Championship Match
  • Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton – WWE Championship Match
  • Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax vs. The Riott Squad – WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match
  • Bayley vs. Nikki Cross – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match

WrestleTalk will have live coverage of the event as always. Make sure to follow along with us during the show.
