Trish Stratus Addresses Potential WWE 25th Anniversary Return

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has teased the possibility of a return as she approaches her 25th anniversary.

Stratus made her debut in March 2000 going on to be a valet for the team of T&A (Test & Albert), leading T&A to take on the Hardy Boyz & Lita in her debut match in June of that year.

With her 25th anniversary approaching next year, Stratus has previously teased the possibility of a return to the ring.

Straus has now gone to speak in more detail to SI’s The Takedown about a return, saying:

“I have to be able to deliver a hundred percent. Then also, it has to be something challenging and different for the fans. And it has to do something and mean something.”

Speaking about her Steel Cage match against Becky Lynch at WWE Payback in 2023, she noted:

“To leave off on this epic moment that’s memorable and people talk about it, it’s hard. Like, what can top that?”

Stratus would go on to address the challenges of a possible WWE further, saying:

“I think it’s like examining the landscape and seeing what works best for everyone.

“There’s so many parties to consider. The person that is in the storyline, the WWE. It’s really collaborative.”

Stratus was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2013 and has held the WWE Women’s Championship on seven occasions as well as being a former WWE Hardcore Champion.

2023 saw Stratus return at WrestleMania 39, teaming with Becky Lynch as a replacement for Lita in a losing effort for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship then held by Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.

Next year also marks the final year in John Cena’s wrestling career in a year-long farewell tour that will take in both the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania along with, as recently revealed, Elimination Chamber in Stratus’ hometown of Toronto.
