WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has opened up about whether or not she can see herself wrestling outside of WWE.
Many fans still haven’t forgotten the moment between Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) and Trish Stratus during the first ever women’s Royal Rumble in 2018.
After Mone was the one responsible for eliminating Trish, it seemed as though a match between the pair may have been inevitable.
However, no such match ever came to be, and in a new interview, Stratus weighed in on whether or not she thinks it still might.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Stratus said:
“I really think people never thought I’d ever come back for another match. Like after the Royal Rumble, it was enough. It was a little sizzle reel, so to speak, of Trish Stratus and Stratusfaction.
“Which is not easy to pull off, but it was like, all right. You still got it, or whatever. But to think (I could) come back after how many years to do a match? Like what, (12) years after my retirement… Which is wild.
“But then, you know, (Mone/Banks) left.”
When she was asked whether or not she could see herself having a match outside of WWE with Mone, Stratus responded:
“I really am a WWE girl all the way, I really am.”
However, she did add:
“You never know. Who knows? There’s still so much more life to be had.”
