It has been reported that two AEW stars tested positive for COVID-19 before a match that was supposed to take place this past Wednesday.
As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match hadn’t been announced, but was going to be announced until it was found out the two people were positive.
It was said that neither of the two had symptoms and they had both been fully vaccinated.
It’s important to remember that the vaccine doesn’t guarantee people won’t get the virus and has never claimed to do that (although it does massively reduce the chance) – it does mean your body is better equipped to fight it.
In the same way that a seatbelt doesn’t stop you from getting into a car accident, but vastly reduces the impact and danger of it if it does happen, that’s basically what the vaccine does.
There was a report that 2point0 were planned for AEW Dynamite and pulled – that is not related to this story and is instead because Matt Lee’s baby was born.
