Two Big Title Matches Set for June 3rd Dynamite

On the May 27, 2020, edition of AEW: Dynamite, Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havok battled SCU’s Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian for a shot at the AEW Tag Team Titles.

After some interference from Penelope Ford, Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havok pick up the win. The win with a nice combo move of a running shotgun dropkick to the back and a Michinoku Driver.

They’ll move on to face Kenny Omega and Hangman Page. Page and Omega haven’t defended the titles since their match with The Young Bucks at Revolution.

Hangman Page hasn’t really been around since March. Tonight, Omega and Page hung out in the hotel drinking cold ones. While they had their own method of prepping for next week, Cody had a different method.

He came out tonight and declared he was issuing an open challenge for the TNT Championship. He said he is going to set a pace never seen before and would wrestle every week defending that title.

The promo was great. However, the open challenge will have to wait a couple of weeks.

Tonight, AEW hosted a battle royal to determine the number 1 challenger for the TNT Title. In the battle royal, the final four came down to MJF, Wardlow, Jungle Boy, and Orange Cassidy.

After some miscommunication between MJF and Wardlow, Jungle Boy and Cassidy were the final two standing. Ultimately, Jungle Boy defeated Cassidy and we’ll face Cody next week.

Also announced is Chris Jericho in action.  Next week’s show should be another good one.
