Two changes have seemingly been made to a current WWE Championship ahead of an upcoming title match next week.
On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, a WWE Speed Championship tournament final match took place, pitting Elio LeFleur against Eli Knight, with the winner earning a shot at Jasper Troy’s title next week.
However, the match would end up going to the three minute time limit, resulting in a draw between the two men.
Interim NXT General Manager Robert Stone would come to the ring, with him saying that the situation would typically result in Jasper Troy retaining the title, but he was going to do things differently.
Stone would then go on to make two changes to the Speed Championship rules, announcing the first-ever three-way for the WWE Speed Championship next week between Jasper Troy, Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight.
On top of that, Stone would announce that the match will have a seven minute time limit instead of the typical five minute time limit for Speed Championship matches due to the extra competitor in the bout.
