Two free agent stars are reportedly backstage at tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Peoria, IL (April 2).
2025 has been a busy year for AEW when it comes to both incomings and outgoings, with Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight recently signing with the company and the likes of Miro, Malakai Black, Rey Fenix and Saraya exiting the company.
With speculation also ongoing regarding AEW’s potential signing of Josh Alexander, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that top independent tag team Violence is Forever are backstage at tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
The team, which is comprised of Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku are the reigning GCW Tag Team Champions, while previously also holding gold in a litany of other promotions across North America such as DPW and Black Label Pro Wrestling.
According to the report, Garrini and Ku are expected to be on hand for extra work at tonight’s show, however, it’s not clear exactly what they’ll be doing at this time.
Last week’s AEW Dynamite in St. Paul, MN (March 26) saw former WWE NXT star Von Wagner make an appearance as an extra, playing the role of a security guard attempting to break up a brawl between Mark Davis and Powerhouse Hobbs.
