A pair of top NXT stars are are reportedly expected to be called up to WWE’s main roster.
Last night’s episode of WWE NXT saw arguably one of the biggest surprise results in the brand’s recent history, as Stephanie Vaquer lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne.
Following Vaquer’s loss a major update has emerged on her future on the NXT brand, as well as her opponent at last Saturday’s WWE Battleground premium live event – Jordynne Grace.
According to PW Nexus’ Cory Hays on Twitter, both Vaquer and Grace are expected to be called up to WWE’s main roster – with Vaquer moving to Raw, and Grace set for SmackDown.
It’s unclear if Vaquer and Grace’s moves to the main roster will come via the as of yet unannounced 2025 WWE Draft, or in a similar fashion to Roxanne Perez and Giulia, who were recently ‘signed’ to Raw and SmackDown by Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis respectively.
Vaquer made her debut on the red brand last month on the Raw after WrestleMania 41, challenging Women’s World Champion IYO SKY to an impromptu match, while Grace has yet to compete on the main roster, aside from appearances in the last two women’s Royal Rumble matches.
We will provide further updates on WWE’s plans to call-up Vaquer and Grace when new information becomes available.
