Two Matches Added To Slammiversary XVI!

With less than ten days until IMPACT Wrestling present Slammiversary XVI live on FITE.tv, several more matches have been added to the anticipated card.

The foremost of these features Tessa Blanchard who, after signing a long-term contract with the promotion, wasn’t thought to have appeared in an active capacity. That’s all changed, however, and to showcase their newest acquisition the company has shoehorned her onto the show in a skirmish against Allie.

Believing her prey came between her and the IMPACT Knockouts Championship, Blanchard jumped the athlete this past week following a fight with Shotzi Blackheart. A victory for Tessa is assured as she continues her march to the top of the female division.

The other match that has been added will see LAX battle the OGz in a 5150 Street Fight. This came about after Eddie Kingston was unveiled to be Konnan’s attacker, causing LAX to split into two separate factions of Kingston, Homicide, and Hernandez (OGz) and Konnan, Santana, and Ortiz (LAX). It promises to be something special.

The current Slammiversary XVI card shapes up like this:

  • Austin Aries (c) vs. Moose – IMPACT World Championship Match
  • Su Yung (c) vs. Madison Rayne – IMPACT Knockouts Championship Match
  • Matt Sydal (c) vs. Brian Cage – IMPACT X-Division Championship Match
  • Tommy Dreamer vs. Eddie Edwards – House of Hardcore Match
  • Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan – Mask vs. Hair Match
  • Johnny Impact vs. Taiji Ishimori vs. Fenix vs. Rich Swann
  • LAX vs. The OGz – 5150 Street Fight
  • Tessa Blanchard vs. Allie

It’s no secret that IMPACT Wrestling has been growing in quality and popularity lately. Its weekly television output is packed with gripping wrestling and enjoyable storylines which will explode at Slammiversary XVI on July 22.
