As is her habit these days, SmackDown Live general manager Paige has taken to Twitter to announce two matches for tonight’s show.
In the far less interesting of the two, Zelina Vega and Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas will take on the odd couple of Carmella and R-Truth.
What do I have planned for the final #SDLive before #WWESSD? Hmmm… tune in Tuesday I’ll be opening the show to talk about @SamoaJoe actions last Tuesday! @WWE pic.twitter.com/I9uWzlGLWl

Forgetting that match, there’s the bigger matter of Daniel Bryan taking on Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin took to Twitter last week to complain that he was not being given the respect he deserves, and that his limited TV time is an insult to him.
I Am a warrior I am a competitor & I am DAMN GOOD! Yet I have not had a match on #SmackDownLIVE in months. I’m here to compete I thrive on competition @RealPaigeWWE Its time you Got me off the bench & LET ME FIGHT!

Paige has rewarded his fire with a match against Bryan, which doesn’t seem all that fair. Having said that, Miz will almost certainly interfere in the match, given that Super ShowDown is only four days away.
Benjamin is still a deeply impressive in-ring performer, and so if this is the start of a push for him, I’m all for it.
Paige also announced that she will be making an announcement regarding Samoa Joe, because it’s actually illegal to invade someone’s house, Joe.
