Tonight’s May 23 episode of WWE SmackDown saw two new qualifiers confirmed for the Money in the Bank ladder matches on June 7, 2025.
Two more qualification three-ways took place on SmackDown tonight, with one for the men and one for the women.
The women’s was up first, featuring Charlotte Flair, Giulia and Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega, with Giulia picking up the win, pinning Vega.
Giulia joins the already qualified Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley and Roxanne Perez in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match this year, with two more qualifiers still to be determined.
Tonight’s men’s qualifier featured Aleister Black, LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura.
It was Knight who scored the win, as he threw Black out of the ring right after Black had struck Nakamura with the Black Mass, with Knight capitalizing and pinning Nakamura.
Knight will join Solo Sikoa, who is the only other men’s participant confirmed so far, and four more to be determined.
WWE confirmed earlier today that next year’s Money in the Bank PLE will take place on August 29, 2026 in New Orleans, following yesterday’s announcement that WrestleMania 42 will no longer take place there, as it’s planned to return to Las Vegas for a second consecutive year instead.
