Two Survivor Series Qualifying Matches Announced For SmackDown

As we get closer to Survivor Series, more of the card is coming into focus. On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, we will know two of the men who will suit up for the men’s Survivor Series match.

WWE announced the two qualifying matches earlier today on Twitter with a video from Alyse Ashton. First, Kevin Owens will face Dolph Ziggler and then Daniel Bryan will take on Jey Uso. Here is the tweet.

Owens had previously been on Raw prior to the WWE Draft. He had represented Raw in the men’s matches in the 2016 and 2019 editions of WWE’s Fall classic. If he wins tonight, this will be his first time representing SmackDown.

Dolph Ziggler has been on Team Raw for the 2018 event and competed in the tag team battle royale last year.

Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan will be fighting to represent SmackDown for the first time in a traditional Survivor Series match. He represented the blue brand as WWE Champion against Brock Lesnar in 2018. He hasn’t been in a traditional five-on-five match since 2012 when his team lost to a team led by Ziggler.

Finally, Jey Uso will attempt to rebound from his brutal loss to Roman Reigns from last Sunday. While he has competed in a 10-on-10 traditional match in 2016, he has never competed in a five-on-five match.
