Two Third Generation Wrestling Stars Now Officially Free Agents

Two Third Generation Wrestling Stars Now Officially Free Agents WWE

A new report from PWInsider has revealed that former MLW Tag Team Champions Marshall and Ross Von Erich are now officially free agents after their deals with the promotion expired.

Whilst their contracts were initially believed to be up in June it seems as if the pair of third generation stars are now free to move elsewhere.

Sons of the legendary Kevin Von Erich, Marshall and Ross depart MLW after four years, first debuting in May 2019.

They have also previously appeared for IMPACT and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

In a previous report PWInsider revealed that the Kevin Von Erich and his family will be relocating back to Texas from Hawaii, the place most synonymous with the iconic wrestling family.

More significantly for Marshall and Ross, this should allow for an ease in negotiating wrestling bookings with other promotions, so perhaps we will see the longest reigning MLW Tag Team Champions of all time land somewhere new sooner rather than later.

The story of the Von Erich family is one that is infamous and tragic, however, their legacy continues to live on, so much so that it is set to be turned into a feature film titled The Iron Claw starring Zac Efron.

The film will also feature AEW World Champion MJF’s first major role in a feature film where he will play the role of Lance Von Erich.

With AEW Double or Nothing on May 28, MJF is set for a four-way defence of his title against the other three pillars of AEW, Sammy Guevara, ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry and Darby Allin.

Here are the results from the May 17 episode of AEW Dynamite:
