WWE
Two WWE stars have provided new updates on their characters during tonight’s episode of Evolve airing on Tubi.
WWE Evolve is essentially the prelim show for NXT, where Performance Center trainees and WWE ID prospects work before making it to NXT TV.
However, there are also some names who go in the opposite direction, and one of those in recent months has been Luca Crusifino.
Crusifino was a member of the D’Angelo Family with Tony D’Angelo, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and Adriana Rizzo, but he’s been off NXT TV since the group split up last year.
Luca Crusifino’s New WWE Gimmick
Now a member of the WWE Evolve roster, Crusifino has reintroduced himself as a completely different character from when he was in the D’Angelo Family, now building his persona around his love for raves.
In something of as reintroduction interview on Evolve tonight, he said:
“I am too blessed to express. This whole place has been bouncing. The stars from all over the world have been shining.
“Take a look at Kendal Grey, take a look at Sean Legacy – people that didn’t just walk here, they Evolved, they figured it out under these lights, and now shining bright under the lights of NXT. It is truly peak inspiration.
“I’m about to loop it all back and the whole crowd is gonna be rolling with the life of the party as I cruise my way to Evolve.
“I can see how the outsider might think, ‘Luca, you’ve got your priorities all mixed up, maybe upside down, maybe a littler helter skelter.’ However, I can promise you, on the inside, Crus figured it out.
“When my energy is vibrating with love, is when I’m my most effective. And effective me is dangerous me. Let me put it to you this way – my flow state is my go state.
“It’s all PLUR. PLUR stands for Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. It is the staple of the rave community, values that we simply do not have here in WWE Evolve.
“All we have is people with big egos and insecurities. We’ve got big bad Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins, guys that are just simply vibe killers, man.
“We need someone to shine the light, and I think I know who can figure it out. And this is just the build – wait for the beat to drop.”

Another New WWE Star
Another name on the WWE Evolve roster who introduced himself in a promo tonight was Braxton Cole, who is basing his character on his privileged background and educational achievements.
He said:
“‘The educated differ from the uneducated as much as the living differ from the dead’ – Aristotle, 384 BC. Hmm, now that is an interesting concept to ponder.
“Actually, my Ivy League intellect is what makes me truly different from the uneducated deadweight around here.
“Excuse me, where are my manners? My name is Braxton Cole – the epitome of privilege, an eclectic of excellence. A top of the class Brown University graduate, and an all league defensive end football player.
“What sets me apart from these one dimensional athletes is that I am the perfect conglomeration of brains and brawn. While they’re working hard, I am working smart.
“And pretty soon, when I’m at the top of the class in Evolve, you’ll all see why I am straight A’s in every way.
“Be gone – you’re taking up my precious oxygen, and I need to get my mental work.”

Who To Look Out For On Evolve
The recent call-ups from Evolve to NXT have proven that the system is working, with the likes of the Vanity Project, Eli Knight, Sean Legacy and especially Kendal Grey all already impressing in their outings so far.
As far as the names in the current crop of talent on WWE Evolve, Aaron Rourke is the new Men’s Evolve Champion, which says a lot considering the choices that were available.
Some other names similar to Luca Crusifino who have gone from NXT to Evolve and really still deserve more of a chance back in NXT are Brooks Jensen and Dante Chen, who have both been going about their business very well for a few years now under the radar.
WWE also evidently has high hopes for Olympic gold medalist Tyra Mae Steele, as she won the first season of LFG. However, she was quickly moved from NXT to Evolve after her debut, suggesting company officials don’t believe her to have been ready quite yet.
Zena Sterling has also impressed on both seasons of LFG that she’s been a part of thus far, with PJ Vasa a clear standout as well.
