New NXT UK Tag Team Champions were crowned on tonight’s (December 9) episode of NXT UK.
The main event of the show saw Tyler Bate and Trent Seven of Moustache Mountain challenge Pretty Deadly for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship. Moustache Mountain would end up winning the match, capturing the titles for the first time.
Moustache Mountain’s championship victory is significant for Tyler Bate specifically, as this now makes him the first ever Triple Crown Champion in NXT UK.
A Triple Crown Champion is definded as a wrestler who has won a World Title, Tag Team Title and another Singles Title on a specific brand or promotion.
Bate was the Inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion back in 2017 before losing it to Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover: Chicago, while he also captured the NXT UK Heritage Cup from A-Kid back on May 20 of this year.
