UFC Champion Ready To ‘Declare’ For 2025 WWE Royal Rumble WWE, UFC

A current UFC Champion has publicly asked to enter the WWE Royal Rumble match ahead of this year’s event on February 1.

With the 38th annual WWE Royal Rumble event now under two weeks away, the field in the 30-man Rumble match is beginning to fill with top WWE names.

CM Punk, John Cena, Roman Reigns and most recently Rey Mysterio are among the recognisable names to declare entry in this year’s match, but it seems like current UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad is keen to join them.

Speaking with Cathy Kelley, Muhammad spoke of his lifelong fandom for WWE before asking his close friend CM Punk to help get him in this year’s Rumble.

Muhammad said:

“I’ve been training for this my whole life like I’ve been ready. I’ve been thinking about WWE. I was wrestling off the garage in my house, jumping into the snow; Ladder Matches, I’ve been doing wrestling since I was a kid.

“I’m ready to go into the ring, too. So we need to declare for the Rumble. Who do we need to talk to? Punk, help me out, brother, let’s go.”

Punk shouted out Muhammad during a promo on WWE Raw after he captured the UFC Welterweight Championship from Leon Edwards last July, he was also seen in attendance cheering on Punk during WWE Survivor Series 2024 in Vancouver.

You can check out footage of Punk, Muhammad and Cathy Kelley backstage at UFC 311 down below, with Punk later being shown in attendance for the event on Saturday night.
