As per Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, meetings for the potential venue took place during the tour last week. Noting that progress was made on a future UK pay-per-view, McCarthy tweeted:
“Been working on this one for a couple of weeks… The Principality Stadium in Cardiff is the front-runner for SummerSlam in the UK next year. Meetings took place during the tour last week and great progress was made on a WWE UK PPV.”

The stadium has a capacity of 74,500, although, depending on how WWE sets things up, it might not be exactly that for a wrestling crowd.
SummerSlam 1992 took place in the UK, with the British Bulldog and Bret Hart headlining Wembley in front of an announced 80,355 fans that year.
