According to the latest viewership stats, WWE Raw dropped 92% of its UK viewers compared to the week previous.
This week’s episode, which featured a returning Drew McIntyre, Ric Flair, the return of Sin Cara and Seth Rollins vs. Humberto Carrillo drew just 3,000 UK viewers, down from 38,000 from the week previously.
UK numbers are of course significantly lower than in the US due to the fact that Raw and SmackDown start at 1am, but 3,000 is the lowest figure I can ever remember seeing.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said:
“Raw on 10/21 did 3,000 viewers. It was so bad people thought it was a computer glitch but we’re told the data was sound”
It was so bad that people genuinely thought something had gone wrong. Ouch.
Luckily for WWE, US viewing figures actually increased slightly from 2.287 million to 2.342 million viewers, and as the promotion will be moving from Sky to BT Sport in 2020, they’re probably not all that bothered.
