Undertaker has addressed the “never say never” line from his WWE Hall of Fame speech during WrestleMania 38 weekend.
The Deadman was the headliner for the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame class. During his speech, he mentioned the classic “never say never” line in regards to wrestling inside the squared circle again.
Speaking with Bleacher Report, Taker echoed this statement and explained himself.
He said:
“You never say never. I don’t have aspirations of ever stepping into the ring again, but this is the WWE, man. You never say never. You just never say never.”
Knowing the importance of creating intrigue with his speech, the WWE Hall of Famer further explained his intentions, saying:
“I thought it was a great button that I can put on that and for that very reason. That was a little bit for Vince, too.”
Undertaker had his final match in WWE at WrestleMania 36 in the Boneyard cinematic match against AJ Styles with Taker coming out victorious.
The wrestling legend has further explained not mentioning Mick Foley as part of his Hall of Fame speech in the same interview.
