Universal Title Contract Signing & New Match Set For SmackDown

Universal Title Contract Signing & New Match Set For SmackDown

WWE has announced a Universal Championship match contract signing and a new match for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Last week, Roman Reigns declined the challenge of John Cena for a Universal Title match, but accepted one from Finn Balor, and tonight, there will be a contract signing with Reigns and Balor for the title match.

WWE.com states the contract set to be signed is for a match at SummerSlam, so there’s likely to be some kind of controversy and shenanigans, as the match that actually happens at SummerSlam is almost certain to be Reigns vs Cena, not Balor.

Also announced for the show is Rey Mysterio vs Jimmy Uso, with the rivalry between the Mysterios and the Usos also a part of the ongoing Roman Reigns saga.

WrestleTalk.com will of course have live coverage of SmackDown tonight, and we’re reportedly going to be seeing a big return on the show.
