On next week’s (July 28) episode of AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Proud n Powerful will take on FTR in tag team action as the feud between the Pinnacle and the Inner Circle rolls on.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), this match wasn’t a spur of the moment decision for AEW, and they have had this match pencilled in for the Charlotte episode of Dynamite since mid-May.
In early 2020 Fightful was told that some of AEW’s programs, matches and feuds were booked months in advance, and that the pandemic put a wrench in many of those plans, although Fightful notes they were told that much of what was planned did take place.
Furthermore, Fightful notes they have been informed of an AEW singles program that has been tentatively slated to take place in the fall.
