An update has emerged on the WWE status of Bad Bunny, following his surprise appearance at Royal Rumble.
Bad Bunny returned to the WWE ring on Saturday, joining the men’s Rumble as a surprise entrant. The Puerto Rican rapper had an eventful stint in the match before ultimately getting eliminated by eventual winner Brock Lesnar.
Following Bad Bunny’s return, fans speculated that we might see the star return to the ring again at this year’s WrestleMania. PWInsider now reports that the artist’s Rumble appearance wasn’t intended to build towards an appearance at the Show of Shows, pointing out that Bad Bunny has performances in Miami scheduled for April 2 and 3, clashing with WrestleMania 38.
The report noted that Bad Bunny is pretty much considered part of WWE, so can drop back in whenever his schedule allows it. His Royal Rumble appearance was reportedly locked in for 1-2 weeks before the show, with Bad Bunny quietly training in the week before the event.
Lesnar’s Rumble win came after he lost his WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley earlier in the night. Stay up to date with every 2022 title change in WWE using our tracker at this link.
