An update has been shared on WWE Hall of Famer Barry Windham, following an emergency procedure and a stay in the ICU.
As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Barry Windham suffered a ‘massive heart attack’ on the evening of Friday, December 2.
Windham’s niece Mika Rotunda confirmed that while in the ICU, Windham underwent a procedure to ‘save his life’. She also set up a GoFund Me to help cover the medical costs.
Mika Rotunda has now taken to Twitter to confirm that Windham is now in a stable condition.
Noting that he’s now talking and able to stand again, Rotunda wrote:
“Thank you to all who have reached out, prayed, contributed and sent well wishes to my Uncle Barry this week.
“I wanted to give an update!
“I’m grateful to say he is stabilized & out of ICU.
“Talking & able to stand.
“Thanks again everyone!❤️
“There absolutely is power in prayer.”
Windham is a former NWA World Champion and WWE Tag Team Champion. The Hall of Famer is a brother-in-law to Mike Rotunda, and an uncle to WWE’s Bray Wyatt, and former WWE star Bo Dallas.
We send our very best wishes to Windham and his family at this time.
