The latest update has emerged on the status of Claudio Castagnoli, best known as Cesaro throughout his time in WWE.
Castagnoli officially departed WWE on February 24 when his contract expired and he opted not to re-sign despite being made an offer.
The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided some news on his whereabouts, stating that he’s chosen to take some time off for family reasons with a young child.
There’s said to be a feeling that he will likely return to WWE due to the size of some of the new contracts WWE has given out and the fact he’d be comfortable there, but nothing is definite yet.
He has reportedly been in talks about doing Starrcast and has considered other projects that he wouldn’t be allowed to do if he returned to WWE, so maybe that’s a sign in the opposite direction.
It’s not yet known if AEW has made him an offer, but Tony Khan did speak highly of him recently.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on Castagnoli’s future, as he is undoubtedly one of the best talents in the world of wrestling.
