Huge Update On CM Punk’s Status For AEW Video Game ‘Fight Forever’ AEW/THQ Nordic

A huge update has emerged on CM Punk’s status for the upcoming AEW video game ‘Fight Forever’.

In case you’ve been living under a Dwayne Johnson, there is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding CM Punk’s wrestling future.

The former AEW World Champion hasn’t appeared for the promotion since the September 4 All Out pay-per-view.

The star was suspended following his alleged involvement in a backstage altercation with EVPs Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.

Since then, AEW Games has revealed the official cover art for the Fight Forever console game, which noticeably didn’t feature CM Punk, despite Punk appearing on the provisional designs.

Sportskeeda now reports that AEW has confirmed that Punk has NOT been removed from the game.

The report stated that AEW representatives confirmed that they expect all characters revealed for the game so far to be in the final release.

It was also reportedly noted by the representatives that if a character previously shown to be part of the game needs to be removed, AEW will announce the removal to fans.

Gameplay featuring CM Punk’s character model was shared in September courtesy of the Game Club.

The footage was recorded at Tokyo Game Show, which AEW Games attended.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, CM Punk is still under contract with AEW. You can read more about Punk’s current status right here.
