Don Callis has been absent from AEW for a couple of weeks now, leading to some questions and speculation about his status.
Callis has been a big part of the Elite and in particular Kenny Omega’s AEW World Title reign, as it was him that helped Omega win the title last December.
In update, Dave Meltzer writes in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Don Callis is still under contract and is part of the Omega act and will be back soon
For those that didn’t know, he actually left his position as an executive at IMPACT earlier this year and signed a contract with AEW.
Callis was on the match card graphics to be in the corner of the Elite for the eight-man tag match on Dynamite this past Wednesday, but wasn’t there.
Also absent from the Elite recently have been the Good Brothers, and the Observer also provided an update on AEW’s relationship with IMPACT, which you can read at this link.
