An update has emerged on plans for Eddie Kingston vs Sammy Guevara at All Out following recent backstage drama.
Eddie Kingston recently served a suspension following a backstage altercation he had with Sammy Guevara. Kingston had previously challenged Guevara to a match at All Out, with the backstage confrontation reportedly happening after Kingston took issue with something Guevara said in a promo building to the match.
Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this match is no longer planned for the pay-per-view. Meltzer wrote:
“At press time the plan was for the match not to take place on the show and has been removed from the lineup. That always could change as they lay out the undercard and time the show but neither has been told the match is happening and those who should know have said that right now it isn’t.”
Sammy Guevara was reportedly not suspended following the altercation.
While Kingston has competed on the independent scene and for NJPW STRONG this past month, he hasn’t wrestled for AEW since his barbed wire match with Chris Jericho during the July 20 Dynamite: Fyter Fest Week 2 show.
