Update On Future NXT & WWE Main Roster Crossover Plans WWE

An update has emerged on the future of WWE main roster and NXT crossovers, under the Triple H regime.

While there have been a number of main roster stars appearing on NXT this year, more Raw and SmackDown names have been appearing for the developmental brand since Vince McMahon’s departure.

At NXT Worlds Collide, Ricochet, Nikki ASH and Doudrop all challenged for NXT gold, with Ricochet vying for the North American Championship, and Ash & Doudrop unsuccessfully challenging for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Title.

Former North American Champion Carmelo Hayes was also notably in action against Raw star Cedric Alexander during the October 10 taping for WWE Main Event.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the crossover between NXT and main roster stars is set to continue, with WWE sources believing that the crossover has been beneficial for NXT.

Per the report, sources pointed out that not only can the main roster names evaluate their opponents for potential Raw or SmackDown spots, consistent viewership for NXT has increased over the last few months.

Former NXT faction Legado Del Fantasma made its main roster debut on the October 7 edition of SmackDown, with Elektra Lopez swapped out for Zelina Vega.
