Last month, a report came out that Kenny Omega was suffering from a lot of injuries, and that he was pretty banged up during his recent big matches.
We now have an update on the situation via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and it’s good news for fans of the Cleaner, as Dave Meltzer says that he is feeling a lot better recently, as seen in his recent victory of Jungle Boy on AEW Dynamite.
Kenny was suffering from an athletic hernia, a deep bone bruise near his tailbone, and general wear/tear on his knees, but says that stem cell treatment and PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) therapy have helped make “a world of difference.”
Omega is currently scheduled to defend his Impact World Championship against Sami Callihan at Impact’s Slammiversary event on July 17.
