An update has been revealed on a pair of absent AEW stars in former TJPW star Yuka Sakazaki and former Factory member, Nick Comoroto.
As previously reported, former TJPW star Yuka Sakazaki was in the headlines as she was removed and then added back to the AEW roster page online.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that a reason for this wasn’t given, but Sakazaki was dealing with a neck injury last year. Sakazaki has returned to the ring since then, but she has not wrestled in 2024 so far. She was regularly seen backstage at AEW shows even while injured.
The report notes that there were some creative pitches for Sakazaki even in a non-wrestling capacity in 2023.
Another recently absent AEW star was backstage at Collision last month.
The report also notes that Nick Comoroto was backstage at the AEW Collision taping from Norfolk, Virginia last month.
Comoroto hasn’t wrestled in All Elite Wrestling since the end of October, but he did wrestle in New Jersey for an independent company at the end of January. It was noted that Comoroto hasn’t been injured, but simply not being used.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on both Yuka Sakazaki and Nick Comoroto when they become available.
