Update On AJ Styles’ WWE Contract Expiring

AJ Styles debuted for WWE in January 2016 on what was believed to be a three-year deal, so there has been much speculation over his future of late, especially since he lost the WWE Title to Daniel Bryan last month.

Rumours have been doing the rounds that Styles will be a free agent in January and thus could be part of any announcement made by The Elite pertaining to All Elite Wrestling.

However, Mike Johnson of PW Insider reports that this is not the case. According to Johnson, Styles’ contract does not expire until April 2019.

Most within WWE expect him to sign a new deal with the promotion shortly to extend his stay with the company.

Styles’ former Bullet Club allies Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows signed at the same time as Styles but both are under contract until September 2019 and thus will not be going anywhere anytime soon.
