Update On Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania 35 Opponent

The WrestleMania 35 opponent for WWE Champion Daniel Bryan looks to be a returning Kevin Owens according to recent reports.

Jeremy Botter of Bleacher Report is reporting that despite the momentum of Bryan’s Fastlane challenger Kofi Kingston, it is Owens who is set to face him at ‘Mania:

“Yeah, Bryan vs. Kingston is scheduled for Fastlane, while a company source told me Tuesday evening that The Beard’s opponent for WrestleMania will be Kevin Owens; those videos of KO hanging out with his family and eating bad food make a lot more sense now.”

I will ignore the fact that he just called Bryan “The Beard”.

This has been followed up by the very reliable WrestleVotes on Twitter, who notes that they also heard the spot is set for Owens.

KO has been out of action since October due to injury, but has recently aired video promos on Raw and SmackDown hyping up a return in the next month. In the videos, he noted he doesn’t know if he is bound for Raw or SmackDown, which unless he is off to SmackDown, seems a pretty random thing to say since he was on Raw before his injury.Despite this, WWE is known for changing its plans given circumstances, and did exactly that by making the white-hot Kofi Kingston Bryan’s Fastlane opponent despite him not being included in initial plans.

Who do you think should face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter.
