Last night it was reported that there were fears of another outbreak of COVID-19 within NXT, with reports suggesting there have been several positive tests from people assigned to the black and gold brand.
Speaking about the matter on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the outbreak is believed to have only impacted NXT, which is good news as previous outbreaks have reportedly affected the entire company.
“I was told it was only NXT people and enough that whatever it is, the show’s being re-written and certain things that were planned aren’t going to be there, but I don’t know what that would be and they’re not going to tell you.”
Fightful Select has also revealed which matches are in jeopardy of being cancelled, with the two big men’s matches reportedly in danger of being pulled from the show due to the outbreak:
Fightful has been told that Leon Ruff vs. Swerve Scott and Imperium vs. Ciampa/Thatcher were both in danger of being pulled from the show.
As more emerges over the coming days regarding this reported outbreak of COVID-19 within WWE, which the company has yet to publicly comment on, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
