Documents and details have been revealed regarding an update on the sexual assault allegation case involving Matt Riddle and Candy Cartwright.
Riddle had been accused by Cartwright of sexually assaulting her during a consensual affair between the two.
David Bixenspan obtained documents that showed Riddle and his lawyer had filed a restraining order against Cartwright (real name Samantha Tavel) with the following claims against her:
- “Committed stalking.”
- “Previously threatened, harassed, stalked, cyberstalked, or physically abused the Petitioner.”
- “Threatened to harm Petitioner or family members or individuals closely associated with Petitioner.”
- “Used, or threatened to use, against Petitioner any weapons such as guns or knives.”
- “Destroyed personal property, including, but not limited to, telephones or other communication equipment, clothing, or other items belonging to Petitioner.”
However, just three days before a scheduled hearing last week, Riddle and his lawyer filed a voluntary dismissal to close the restraining order case.
Bixenspan’s analysis includes deconstructions of several apparent problems and flaws with Riddle’s claims and the evidence he used, including dates, locations of incidents, and other specifics. You can read it in full at this link.
