Anew update has been provided following the arrest of a man on August 16 for an attempted kidnapping at the home of WWE‘s Sonya Deville.
Phillp A. Thomas II has been charged with Aggravated Stalking, Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, Attempted Armed Kidnapping, and Criminal Mischief following the incident.
PWInsider is reporting that Deville has been awarded a temporary injunction against Thomas, and that there is a court date later this month to make the injunction permanent.
Thomas is currently still jailed at Hillsborough County Jail in Florida, and has a hearing on August 19 regarding whether he should be held without bail, or be allowed to post bond and leave incarceration before the case goes to trial. On August 17 he was assigned a public defender and invoked his right to remain silent.
Sonya Deville commented the day after the arrest:
“Thank you everyone for your love and concern. A very frightening experience but thankfully everyone is safe. A special thank you to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for their response and assistance.”
