Update On The Sonya Deville Hair Match Stipulation

Sonya Deville lost her Loser Leaves WWE match with Mandy Rose at SummerSlam. However, this was not meant to be the original stipulation. As most people know, the match was originally going to be a Hair match with the loser getting their head shaved. Now, we have an update on those original plans.

Dave Meltzer is reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Deville was going to lose her hair but not be completely shaved. He also reported that this was going to be done for an acting role for Deville. Here is the quote:

“The original idea was not to shave her bald, but to cut off most of her hair for some sort of an acting role. No word on how long she’ll be gone but she’s not leaving WWE.”

As a result of the attempted kidnapping that took place last week involving Deville, the match’s stipulation was changed. It has been reported that this was done because a shaved head wouldn’t do well in court. As the report also states, there is still no word on how long she will be off television.
