Over the Summer, the wrestling world was sent into shock after it was announced just after All Out that Chris Jericho’s AEW World Championship had been stolen while he was eating at a steakhouse.
Following on from this, it was reported over the weekend that while WALTER was in Chicago for an EVOLVE show, someone broke into his rental car to steal both his passport and WWE United Kingdom Championship.
Luckily for the fan, WALTER did not manage to track him down and chop him to death, but we do have a small update on the situation.
Speaking about the situation on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WALTER actually had to work his match at EVOLVE barefoot as his shoes had been stolen.
Meltzer also noted that unless WWE has spares of the belt, the company will have to order another championship belt for the big Austrian:
“He worked his match barefoot at EVOLVE. Stole his passport, I mean you can get that taken care of especially with WWE behind you, you’ll get that taken care of, but yeah. They could always make another belt. They have extras, but it certainly sucks.”
Hopefully, WWE just orders the exact same championship belt as before. The WWE United Kingdom Championship, which was introduced back in 2017, is one of the best looking titles WWE has ever produced.
