Update On When The 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Will Be

One of the events that was affected by the pandemic was the 2020 Hall of Fame ceremony. It got lost in the shuffle of WrestleMania and everything else happening but now we have an update.

The highly reputable WrestleVotes Twitter reported earlier today that WWE is planning to simply have the 2020 class of inductees inducted in 2021. This means there just won’t be a Hall of Fame ceremony in 2020. Here is the tweet:

“WWE’s plan regarding the 2020 Hall of Fame was to do it at a corresponding PPV once fans returned, ideally SummerSlam. That obviously didn’t happen. With no fans until November at the earliest, the plan is now to induct the 2020 class as the class of 2021 during WrestleMania 37.”

Former world champion Batista was going to be the star inductee in this year’s class. Batista had his final match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, retiring after his loss to Triple H. Among the other announced names were the NWO, Bella Twins, JBL, British Bulldog, and Jushin Thunder Liger.

WrestleMania 37 is currently scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, California on March 28, 2021. Whether that event will still be able to go ahead still remains to be seen.
