There is a new update on which Von Erich that Zac Efron will portray in the upcoming film on the legendary wrestling family.
As previously mentioned, there will be an upcoming film centered on the Von Erich family starring Zac Efron.
The film will be entitled “The Iron Claw” and will begin filming in October.
Per PWInsider, Efron will be playing the role of Kevin Von Erich, who is the only surviving son of the wrestling family’s patriarch, Fritz.
Fritz Von Erich was the promoter of World Class Championship Wrestling in Dallas, Texas and had a total of six sons: Jack, Kevin, David, Kerry, Mike and Chris.
Tragedically, five out of the six passed away in what became known in the business as “The Von Erich curse”. The family was the subject of a Dark Side of the Ring episode in 2019.
The movie will be shooting from mid-October through December. A24 is financing and produce the pic with Sean Durkin writing and directing.
We will have more information on the film when they become available.
