It appears we have an update on the status of WWE’s biggest pay per view of the Summer. As of this writing, SummerSlam is still scheduled to take place on August 23 in Boston.
However, the highly reputable WrestleVotes is now reporting that the show appears to be on thin ice.
SummerSlam in Boston looking to be on thin ice now after comments today from the Mayor. I have a message out to a few sources for answers. I would lean on the event getting a new location however.

It was reported a few weeks ago that the TD Garden website still had the event listed on their website. When asked about the status of the show, the folks at TD Garden said it was up to WWE.
Nothing has officially changed but considering the state of the world, it should come as no surprise that the event could be altered.
WWE held WrestleMania at the Performance Center and Money in the Bank was partially filmed at WWE Headquarters. Similar changes may need to be made if circumstances do not change before August.
